Why won't my blender blend my kale into a smoothie like the pics show.? I even tried steaming kale first to soften it.???

My Dr. said to start drinking kale smoothies if i didn't like kale in a salad. But, I cannot get the kale to blend smoothly. It is in long chunks when you try to drink it. Gross. Help or any ideas. My husband thought i might need a more high powered blender. I have a cheap one. Does that matter.

A high powered blender such as a Vitamix will achieve the results you are looking for in your smoothie.

Did you take out the middle stem which runs down the middle of the leaf?
What kind of blender are you using?
