I'm curious: what are Chinese egg waffles?
boulangere: They are egg puffs and are called Gei Dan Jai. I guess you could call them a cross between a little popover and a waffle. I have not made these - I don't have the correct pan, although I suppose you could use an ebelskiver pan if you had one? This recipe certainly looks authentic enough. http://en.christinesrecipes...
