Miafoodie-I already ordered one-the mix that they sell did not get great reviews...so just looking for that great authentic recipe :)

Williams and Sonoma has a Chinese Egg Waffle pan in their new catalog.
It is made by Nordicware which is a quality product and sells for $49.95
plus shipping.

boulangere: They are egg puffs and are called Gei Dan Jai. I guess you could call them a cross between a little popover and a waffle. I have not made these - I don't have the correct pan, although I suppose you could use an ebelskiver pan if you had one? This recipe certainly looks authentic enough. http://en.christinesrecipes.com/2010/09/hong-kong-style-egg-waffle-original.html
