Also, your decision will be based on whether this is a side dish or part of a vegetarian main dish. For side dish, estimate about 2-3 oz per person, or 3-5 people per 10 oz bag of florets. Maybe double that if this is to be a vegetarian main. Enjoy, Nancy
Look at the Nutrition Label on a bag of florets. At the top, it will indicate serving size. Divide that into the weight of the total bag, and you'll have the number of servings per bag. Sounds delicious, by the way.
Hi ETKATZ1! Do you happen to know how many the original recipe serves? Or a link to the recipe? One thing to bear in mind is you'll likely have a lot of other sides on the table, so you might not need quite as much as if it was a bigger proportion of the plate.
Thank you SOOOO much for getting back to me! here's the original recipe and let me know what you think...not show how many ounces of florets equal a head... YIELD4 servings ACTIVE TIME40 minutes TOTAL TIME1 hour INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided 1 large head of cauliflower Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/4 cup raw shelled pumpkin seeds 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, plus leaves with tender stems for serving 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
thank you so much again...I'm standing like an idiot in the super market!!!!
PS a cauliflower head in grocery stores can range from 1 to 2 lb....big variation. One medium (after trimming) will give you about 20 oz or 2 often frozen bags.
