How do you pour chocolate onto whipped cream without melting the whipped cream?

I recently had a pastry that was pound cake topped with a stabilized whipped cream and then covered in chocolate. The chocolate appeared to be poured over the whipped cream. Does anyone have any thoughts on how this was done without melting the whipped cream?

It sounds like you'd need a chocolate sauce thats pourable out of the refrigerator or at least at room temp, perhaps more like a chocolate syrup.
