Doughnuts are traditional (making ours today, but the latke feast was on Sunday) but for something more refreshing, Levana Kirschenbaum's fabulous Moroccan orange salad: 4 sliced peeled navel oranges, layer them slightly overlapping on a platter. Sprinkle with 2 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice and 2 tablespoons orange flower water (try not to leave this out if you can help it--it's the "secret ingredient" --Nielson-Massey makes a delicate version). 1 dozen meaty large Medjool dates, pitted and slivered layered over the oranges. Over this, 1/4 cup toasted slivered blanched almonds. Before serving sprinkle with 2T or so confectioners sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and a few shredded mint leaves. https://www.levanacooks.com/recipe/fruit-salad-recipes/ . This is a wonderful and refreshing dessert salad and pretty to look at.
Good question. Usually not much. Sometimes just after dinner hot drinks & nibbling on chocolates (good ones or the junky but fun foil-wrapped coins used for dreidel gambling). Or fresh nuts in their shells (ditto). To keep on with the food links of the holiday you could serve an olive oil cake like Alice Waters' or the maialino recipe (sp?). Or a cheese plate or some mini cheese tarts. Enjoy...
I love Nancy’s olive oil cake rec. it would be great for people who don’t want something too sweet. It’s light enough to be served after your big meal too. Great idea.
You might also consider adding some lemon or orange rind to the cake.
(I’m sorry if that makes it not kosher. Not being Jewish, I’m just not sure)

Happy Hanukkah!
Lemon and orange flavors good ideas. And no kosher worries - all fruits are ok.
Happy hanukkah - 3 nights down, 5 to go :)
