I am making cookies that call for baking soda and baking powder, but only have baking powder at the house. What to do?

Hi Catherine! In a pinch, you can take the amount of baking soda a recipe calls for and add 3x that amount of baking powder. So if the recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of baking soda, just add 3 teaspoons of baking powder (in addition to whatever amount of baking powder the recipe calls for). Hope this helps! Happy baking.
