Look at British and Australian cooling websites and cookbooks. I see lots of recipes for cakes and scones using self-rising (they call it “self raising flour”.
Some ideas to use self-rising flour: - American biscuits - pancakes - waffles - any “impossible” recipe
You can probably adapt any recipe using plain flour. Just have to adjust the salt and the baking powder.

I read your book "Cooking for Mr. Latte" many years ago and have been following you ever since. There are recipes from the book that still make regular rotations on our family menus.
