I was putting white beans in the crock pot and put in opened refrigerated chicken broth that had been in the fridge for 18 days. Can I rinse them off

Probably not.
That broth was stored about 4 to 5 times its recommended time (4-5 days) in refrigerator.
I would be afraid bacteria activity was well advanced.

Can I rinse them off and still cook them?

I haven't cooked them yet. Just preparing them. I immediately rinsed them off and replaced with a new container of broth. Would it have soaked into the beans?

Hi Tscog, I think you should be fine; if they just made contact for a few seconds and then you immediately rinsed the beans, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Hope this helps!
