Pearl onions...omit or a must?

Hi, I’ll be making this today and just wanted to see if I can omit the pearl onions or if they are required?

You can certainly omit them....but you can also find them frozen at most grocery stores ( already peeled).

Nice to learn about these. Will look for them next time I make beef stew.

I always find pearl onions in beef stew pretty but a lot of work (thus, not essential).
And they don't have a different flavor.
I either replace them with other onions or omit.
Your choice.
