Can’t get the starter to float

I made this starter recipe in April and it worked great. Since then my original starter died so I’ve been trying to make another using the same methods. It’s quite hot where I am and the process has been accelerated. I’ve send bubbles and the boozy scent after 1 day so I moved to step 2 and the same thing the bubbles and activity so I moved to step 3 feeding it more. This is where I keep having issues. I can’t get the starter to float. It seems active during the 8 hour period then I get to 8 hours and it seems to have bubbles but appears more liquid and it won’t float. I’ve tried 3x this week the entire process and there seems to be an issue with feeding it at the 90gram interval. Any advice? Can I save it?
