Brisket crazy! Temp is not right

I have had 2 3 pound beef briskets in the oven on 225f for 4 hrs and cant get my 190 internal temp. Its not done!! What should i do?

Is the thermometer battery operated? If yes, could it be needing a new battery?
In the meantime, perhaps cut into the brisket to assess doneness by color, rather than overcook it.
And/or put it in fridge until you can get an accurate thermometer.
Then warm up, test.
