Can I save the beans for future use? In the freezer in a seal-a-meal bags and then heated in a hot bath?

CAN I THEN ELIMINATE THE OIL? Thank you.

Here is what one Food52 writer/chef has written about freezing beans: "[Y]ou can freeze cooked beans in a sealed ziplock bag with all the air squeezed out. They'll last for months, and the freezing doesn't have any adverse impacts on the texture. Just thaw them for a few hours and throw them right into whatever you're making (or, for soups, don't worry about the thaw)."

Thank you! Can I eliminate the oil?

That might be more of a taste issue than a preservation issue.
