Embossed rolling pins ( recipe needed)
I purchased two embossed rolling pins and every cookie recipe that I try fails. The pattern disappears when the cookies are baked. Has anyone had success with these cookie rolling pins????

I agree with the Springerle recipe. Look for shortbread type recipes that do not call for a rising agent like baking powder or baking soda. 'Stamped cookie' recipes are what you need. If you chill the stamped/pattern rolled dough just before baking,it help retain the design/shape.

Having made springerle at the holidays several times, my suggestion would be, if you haven’t already tried it, let the dough sit overnight covered with plastic in the fridge before baking.
