Adaptation from Original Recipe?

Hi there,

This recipe looks wonderful and I’m looking forward to trying it out! Can you tell me, what modifications/adaptations were made? I see noted here the book that contained the original recipe - and I’m wondering if it’s only the filling that has been changed, or the dough recipe? Thanks!

Gil Marks gives both dough recipes.

See headnote - this recipe uses a yeast dough, and the original used a dough without yeast.
Both variations are common in sambousak recipes.
