Overnight waffle batter is deflated!!!!

I found a recipe for overnight yeast waffles that I wanted to try. I followed the directions as is and my yeast batter deflated! I’m not sure if that’s normal or not (I’ve never worked with yeast before) But I’m afraid of thought that I just ruined Sunday morning breakfast :(

Your yeast could have been old (not active), or killed if water added to it was too hot.
If you have flour, eggs, milk, baking powder you can make regular waffles.
If you have bread, milk, eggs you could make french toast in waffle iron or frying pan.
Brunch is on!
