I wouldn't recommend making a custard pie more than 2 days ahead of the time you want to eat it. The texture starts to suffer after that, and then there is the issue of food safety, because it contains eggs and dairy.

Hi Gail! I'd plan to make the tart 1-2 days before your planned meal and store it in the refrigerator. Let it sit at room temperature for a bit before you serve it. - Shannon
