Pierino, I heard pasta Faella is the "best" pasta. Many Italian chefs recommend it. But makes a pasta brand good?

I like homemade whole-wheat pasta.

Most of the Italian ones are good - and generally better tasting.

The only one I've like was imported and I wish I took note of the name. I will look for rustichella d'abruzzo whole wheat, as their regular pasta is my favorite.

The fresh home made kind you make at home, baring that, you should try a couple of different brands because they taste different. I find some seem sweet, others nutty and I have even had a couple taste cinnomony, crazily enough.

I vote for Rustichella d'Abruzzo. If they made toothpaste, I'd buy it.

I like Garofalo and the Whole Foods 365 brand pretty well. Also rustichella d'abruzzo. Melissa Clark did a taste test and I think, liked Bionaturae. http://www.melissaclark.net/blog/2010/10/whole-wheat-pasta-the-taste-test.html
