Help Me Save Christmas for my 85 year old mom! (pretty please)

Growing up my mom always loved Opera Cremes and made them around Christmas. This year I wanted to make them for her but can't find the recipe. I'm 99% sure it came out of the Joy of Cooking Cookbook from the 50- or 60's. If anyone has the recipe I'd love to have a copy to make some for her.
