Ginger-Pear Compote pear amount is missing

Since he calls for using 3/4 pound worth of the other fruits, I'm thinking it's probably close to the same for the pears. 12 ounces, 3/4 pound- or something close to that. Since pears don't come in standard sizes, I don't imagine having a bit less or a bit more is that much of a deal breaker.
