Can someone please recommend a substitute for fish sauce?

Correction...yes Worcestershire is a possible substitute; no it's not saltier than fish sauce (I was going from taste memory but on checking it's actually the reverse).

Worcestershire sauce has anchovies in it, which is the base for most fish sauces. Maybe use that, but it's saltier, so probably use less of it than the amount the recipe specifies for fish sauce.

Maybe salt &amp;amp; a little water.  Or soy sauce.
