Can I use only one can of coconut milk?

Hi!
Could I use the thinner liquid from the full-fat coconut milk can (after taking the cream out for the whipped topping) as my 1/2 cup of low fat milk in the cake portion?

Hi there. Noticed that Murielle, the recipe author, answered this Q in another Hotline post. Murielle guessed that this might be a little too light and the coconut flavor not as strong. Just wanted to post that here too, in case anyone else has the same question :).
