Is this recipe a Sauce or frosting?

1 egg, beaten
1 c powered sugar
3 Tbl melted butter
1 c whipped cream
1/2 tsp vanilla

Not sure what this recipe is for

I'm going to say sauce. Thecratio of powdered sugar to butter might suggest frosting but with that much cream, it would thin it out considerably. It would end up like a powdered sugar glaze (like for cookies.)

Reminds me of a stabilized (with butter) whipped cream frosting. Some recipes for frosting use a whole egg, not just white or just yolk.
