Not concerned about gluten. Can I substitute all purpose or, better, whole wheat flour

Not concened about gluten. Can I substitute all purpose or, better, whole wheat flour for the oat flour? Won't affect structure or consistency?

You can, but frankly, I find the measures a bit puzzling so it's hard to tell you how to do it. Each cup of almond flour usually weighs 112 grams, which would make 1.5 cups = 163 grams, not 130 grams. I would use 130 grams of all-purpose flour in this cake, or 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon.

Given that there is a lot more fat in the almond flour than in wheat flour, I'd also add a tablespoon of oil to what is called for in the recipe.

Let us know how it turns out, please. ;o)

Thanks so much for your response on this. I was actually asking about swapping in AP or whole wheat flour not for the almond flour but for the oat flour. Your reponse would be helpful if someone wanted to use only regular flour. I love almond flour so I would use it as it's called for in the recipe.. Just want to know about oat flour substitutions. Thank you again!!

Ooops. Sorry. Yes, of course, swap wheat flour for the oat flour! Use 30 grams of either whole wheat or all-purpose instead. ;o)
