Ideal thickness for Taylor Ham?

Excited that my supermarket in Houston has John Taylor Pork Roll! Can you advise on what thickness to order?

Yahoo! It's really a matter of personal preference (but 1/8 inch is a good starting point). Like bacon, Taylor ham becomes thinner and crispier when you cook it in a pan, so I'd get it sliced a little thicker than you want it to end up in a sandwich.

Looking at the picture and reading the recipe I’d say the thickness of a presliced bologna. You don’t want too paper thin since you’ll be crisping it up.
