Why not use a food processor to coarsely chop the shallots to save time?

I just tried this morning on a low speed. The food processor made really fast work of the shallots, no problems whatsoever.

Will definitely be doing this every single time.

Agree to using processor.
I would pulse and inspect frequently as I go, to make sure I don't puree the shallots.
