This sounds wonderful - and could I add raisins?

I just noticed that no one has commented on this recipe in a long time! Longer than I've been with my husband! haha - I was just wondering if I could add Bosc pears, I think I could? but also, would raisins be delicious, too? Is that overdoing it? I always over do it! haha thank you for any responses -

Keep in mind, too, if using Bosc pears, that ripe pears invariably are considerably juicier than ripe apples, especially Honeycrisp or Fuji, which are what was used to test the recipe. Boscs would be my first choice for substituting, but i would put them in the fridge to keep them from getting too ripe before using them in this cake. ;o)

Yes, pears would be delicious, I think. I don’t love raisins, so wouldn’t add them myself, but let us know if you do. Enjoy!
