Seasonal sage question here. Has anyone fried dried/frozen sage leaves? (prev

These were previously fresh from a neighbor's garden. Dried leaves seem sad and the ice crystals (or thawed moisture) from frozen seem like a disaster. I know I can test it out, but this is for a Thanksgiving need for a bunch of fried sage and not sure if I will be able to buy enough fresh right now.

You make me glad for my sage plants, is there a shortage? I wonder also if you couldn’t brush them with a bit of butter or oil and crisp them up on a parchment lined baking sheet?

Have not fried the dried leaves and think they wouldn't work well in the hot oil.
Did fry the frozen ones.
Take from freezer, pat dry to remove any ice crystals and surface moisture, then directly into the hot oil.
Good luck finding enough for Thanksgiving.
