Suggested brand for puff pastry

Which brand of puff pastry do you recommend?

Am I rolling out one sheet of puff or both? Sorry….still confused about that.

I’m using regular sized dogs so I assume I will need to cut 12 vertical strips to make 24 half strips.

Try to find a brand of puff pastry that is made with butter rather than oil, if possible. There’s a world of difference in the taste, and price as well as you might imagine. But it’s the holidays, so why not splurge if you can.

The only two store brands I’m aware of that are all butter are Trader Joe’s, as drbabs mentioned, and Dufour, which is carried by Whole Foods.

And btw, you want to roll out two sheets of puff pastry.

The recipe calls for two sheets of puff pastry. Trader Joe’s makes all-butter puff pastry. My grocery store carries Pepperidge Farms, and I’ve used that when I can’t get to Trader Joe’s.

(But I’ve never made these, I’m just saying in general)
