Slow roasted duck, remove the neck?

My duck has a huge neck attached. I should just remove prior to Roasting? Otherwise it would have to be folded under the duck to fit in pan.

I would too … not because it’s bad but because it looks …. Alarming. If you’re using the drippings for gravy I’d throw it in with the duck, then you can pick and shred it for a gravy add-in. Otherwise do as Dr B suggests, it’s stock making gold!

I would remove it. Maybe roast it separately and use it for stock.
