Ground Pork instead of Pork shoulder

Any thoughts about using ground pork instead of Pork shoulder. My husband purchased ground pork in error. Would still like to make this for company this weekend.

Freeze the ground pork for future use in other dishes and acquire the pork shoulder.

If you have a huge amount of ground pork, portion into manageable sizes before freezing.
