Is it possible to freeze the dough?

I wouldn't hesitate to freeze this dough for preserved lemon crinkle cookies. I'd freeze the dough in balls, on a cookie sheet in the freezer, and then wrap the frozen dough balls in packets made with parchment, which I'd put in a zip-top bag marked with the oven temperature and time. Easy! ;o)
