Preserved Lemon Purée as a Substitute?

Would it be ok to substitute lemon purée in the place of the preserved lemon rind? If so, would the amount to use in the recipe vary?

I would definitely try that, and would use the same amount. I am so attracted to this recipe (I love lemon) and was thinking about using 2 tablespoons of lemon zest and some salt to mimic the preserved lemon rind, which I don’t happen to have in the house. This is a brand new recipe, so if you try the lemon purée, please report back.
