Portions Question so little?? Why?

If by Kitchen Aid you mean a large capacity stand mixer, I can see how the recipe volume might not engage the beaters.
But the volume will work, per recipe, in a food processor because its mixing blade engages all the liquid at the bottom of the work bowl.

It’s really rich? It makes 12 scoops?
