How much vanilla in cooks illustrated blondies

I have the cooks illustrated cookbook with this exact recipe, but it only calls for one and a half teaspoons of vanilla. Your recipe calls for 4 teaspoons. How much should I use? I’m thinking of splitting the difference and using 2 to 3 teaspoon s

Measure with your heart. Seriously, for most baking recipes, I just pour in the vanilla. Probably use double (at least) what the recipe calls for. I've never had cause to regret or added "too much vanilla" ;)
