I'm with Nancy. My guess is because it's low- or non-fat. Remember, fat carries flavor. Almost any low- or non-fat food is going to be less flavorful than its full-fat version.
Some producers replace the fat with chemicals to enhance the flavor. This is why I'd rather have a little of the real (full-fat) version than a lot of the lesser option.
Maybe the brand, maybe because of low fat. To make it taste better add 1) some more fat (butter or mayo or good oil) and some spices (freshly ground black pepper, caraway) 2) some herbs (dill, rosemary, whatever you like) 3) some vegetables or fruits you like.
