Like Lori I also use a tablet, in my case an iPad mini. Tablets are easier to clean than notebook computers. The latter risk having foreign objects fall into the keyboard which can be expensive disasters (especially if liquid).
If it's a short recipe sometimes I just transcribe the ingredient list to an erasable, reusable notepad. There's a printer in the house but it seems needlessly wasteful just printing a recipe for a single cooking session.
I don't know about other folks, but I don't use my phone in the kitchen. I have a small Fire tablet that I use, and I put that on book stand so it stays safe and sound. While I love my phone, the screen is much to small to bother with trying to read things like recipes on.

But if you have a printed version (for whatever reason), post it on the fridge with a magnet.
And refer to it from there.
