Shortbread too warm at the start of baking

Hi - sadly i’m baking shortbread and i can tell the butter was too warm when i put it in the oven. It’s split in some areas. Is there anything i can do to salvage this? Currently baking

Store the shortbread in fridge or freezer so butter that remained unmixed tastes better alongside the rest of the baked cookies.

Hi, see what happens when the shortbread is done baking. It may break up into irregular pieces. It may be mostly salvageable into regular pieces. I am sure no matter how it LOOKS, it will taste fine. Just chalk it up to a learning experience and keep baking!
