Does adding fresh garlic to the water your cocook your pasta in .ake the pasta last longer in the fridge before going sour?o

I was going to throw out some week old pasta and expected it to be very powerful sour smell but it didn't smell at all and then warmed the pasta up and ate it . The only thing I did different was add 2 large Cloves of fresh garlic in the last 4 minutes of cooking. I know garlic has anti-viral properties but could it give cooked pasta a longer shelf life?

No, sorry. You were just lucky, that's all. Cooked pasta will last about five days in the fridge, sometimes less sometimes more. Not much more, though. Boiling is just a form of pasteurization, which extends shelf life but is not magic. I would not count on the antiseptic qualities of garlic, cooked or otherwise, to ward of potential food poisoning.
