Would Yotam Ottolenghi’s Miso Butter Onions be suitable to make ahead and then reheat?

I have made them and reheated leftovers two days later by reheating, covered and in the sauce, in the microwave. Gotta say, they were amazing on the day, not so amazing reheated. The onions were already on the verge of disintegration, and the reheat really made them more onion soupy than side dish. But I imagine you could remove them from the oven after perhaps 30 minutes, and then finish the last 15 or so minutes the next day and avoid this problem.
