Cake Recipe with Dulce de Leche Frosting

Question

I found a recipe for Dulce de Leche Frosting.  I am looking for a cake recipe to frost with it. If you have ever had the Dulce de Leche cake at Whole Foods, that is what I am aiming for!

Mindy - yes, agree, a pinch or two of cayenne always brightens chocolate and somehow makes the flavor 😊 better

Not to replicate that Whole Foods cake (because I don't know it).

I find chocolate cake (especially one with some coffee or espresso in its batter) goes very well with Dulce de Leche frosting. .The chocolate is rich, the coffee/espresso provides a slight bitter note which contrasts nicely with the sweetness and richness of the frosting.
