Not getting enough rise on my cookie

I love the flavor of this recipe and I refrigerate the dough, form the cookies and then freeze overnight but my cookies are coming out more flat than with much rise in the middle. My baking powder and soda are not expired. Any suggestions? ALSO, can you provide the weight for the ingredients instead of the measurements? I find more consistency in my bakes when I weigh rather than measure. THANK YOU!

Honestly, it's probably because of the volume measurements. My guess is your cup of flour is maybe a bit lighter than the author's; try adding an extra tablespoon or two for a thicker dough. (Or measure by weight anyway; 120g/cup as the King Arthur Ingredient Weight Chart says usually gives me good results: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/learn/ingredient-weight-chart) My other thought: are you baking on a bare cookie sheet like it says to? Parchment or a greased sheet would definitely make them spread more.

Oh, also, are you doing the cookie cutter step? That might help push the cookie together and make it a bit thicker.
