Mixing flour with cornmeal and wondering if it will ruin my pancake recipe

Pancake recipe calls for one cup flour and I only have 3/4 cup. Could I add 1/4 cup cornmeal to the flour to make one cup?

Cornmeal can make the pancakes crunchy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Might work better if you made waffles with your pancake batter. One of the better waffles I've made had a little bit of cornmeal which produced a pleasant crunchy waffle.
