Is it possible to make the whipped cream ahead and hold it in the fridge?

You can stabilize it with unflavored gelatin, and it will last for several days (if it lasts that long in your house, LOL).
Bloom 1 envelope gelatin in 4 teaspoons water, microwave for 4-5 seconds, stir to dissolve. Begin whipping your (use chilled bowl/beater) until it starts to get foamy, add gelatin and continue to whip to consistency. Sugar and flavorings can also be added during this stage.

Hi! Thanks for your question! It depends for how long. I wouldn't suggest making it more than a few hours at most. Because it only takes a few minutes I would recommend making it right before serving if possible for best flavor!
