How much fruit do you end up with? Also, how much browning do you end up with?
I'm getting ready to make this recipe - super excited since I grew up in the Caribbean and I haven't had this is so long. I planned to scaling this down to a smaller amount - I was wondering if you (or anyone reading this) knows how many cups of fruit mixture you end up with for the full recipe after getting it all macerated and ground up? What about the browning? I'm guessing that gets reduced down pretty considerably once it's all cooked. What's the measurement? Maybe it's worth using store bought browning the first couple times while I'm figuring this recipe out. Thanks in advance!
