Looking for Ingredients That Can Replace Meat in Tacos
Hi everyone! I am a vegetarian, I want to make delicious tacos for dinner and I am looking for vegetarian ingredients that can replace meat in tacos. What vegetarian ingredients do you usually use to replace meat in tacos but still retain the delicious traditional flavor? I would love to receive ideas and suggestions for ingredients that are delicious, easy to prepare and maintain good texture in tacos. Thank you very much!

There are truly SO many amazing options for meatless tacos. If you're looking for meat-like substitutes you could opt for tempeh or tofu crumbles. Also the meat-imposters like Beyond and Impossible will get you the absolute closest to that ground meat texture (and I think its one of the better applications for these ingredients).
If you're just looking for great veggie inspo for tacos some of my favorites include mushrooms, squash/squash blossoms and beans. The most classic veggie option you'll see in a lot of taco shops is nopales which is cactus that is typically cut into thin strips or small pieces. The taste and texture is super similar to green bell pepper but I honestly like it even more.
Hope this helps!
