I totally think so! I will say, you may add to need a bit of sweetener because jumping from milk to dark is drastically decreasing the amount of sugar in the filling. If you are all about bitter chocolate flavor I'd say go for it as is.
If not you could add a tablespoon or two of a liquid sweetener like honey or maple syrup to balance things out.
