Yes to Lori advice.Also looked at Minimalist Baker site, mentioned in headnote as originator of recipe.(Headnote often help for sources.)There the amount of puree specified is 1.75 cups (from about 1.33 lb or 600g raw sweet potatoes).Recipe sounds lovely. Please tell us your results after you make it!

It's an old recipe, and it seems you are not the first to realize it's incomplete.  I would guess that it would use 3-4 medium sweet potatos, since that's the amount most pie recipes call for.   Since it says you can also use pumpkin puree instead, and most cans of that have just under 2 cups- some about 1 3/4 cup of puree in them, perhaps you can aim for that.  Personally, I'd suggest you find another recipe for sweet potato pie, and just do the mixing in your blender.  It works just fine, if you'd prefer not to use a mixer.
