A question about a recipe: Banana Bread from Merrill

152268d8 7920 40e7 85cf 58ce5e08d8c1 2016 1026 merrills banana bread mark weinberg 163

What are the darken spots/areas? Usually, banana bread has finely chopped walnuts that appear like dark spots, but this has no nuts.

Looks like very ripe banana to me, but that's just a guess . . . . . . . ;o)

Yes, it's just the dark fibers from the fruit -- you know, the ones you see in the center of a banana?
