A question about a recipe: Orna & Ella's Sweet Potato Pancakes

I have a question about step 2 on the recipe "Orna & Ella's Sweet Potato Pancakes" from jonaz. It says:

"Cook the sweet potatoes in boiling water until soft."

How long do you suggest boiling the sweet potatoes?

It will depend on the size of your sweet potato cubes (and, to some extent, how fiercely your water is boiling), so you should just check their progress periodically by sticking a fork or paring knife into a cube every few minutes until you can tell they're soft.
