Making Harrisa?

Several recipes call for it, but I don't see any recipies on Food 52 site.

Here's a tested (and loved) recipe for Harissa by TasteFood (just with a different spelling):

I've seen several recipes on line at various sites. The one that I made was more of a wet paste rather than a dry spice mixture. It came out wicked hot:
