Several recipes call for it, but I don't see any recipies on Food 52 site.

I've seen several recipes on line at various sites. The one that I made was more of a wet paste rather than a dry spice mixture. It came out wicked hot: http://www.burntmouth.com/2007/09/african-spicy-harissa-chili-sauce.html
